FAQ

No. All blocking rules run through Shopify Functions, which work on every plan. Plus is only needed for blocks placed inside checkout steps: step level banners and the delivery instructions field. See Plans and limits.

Rules are off by default. Check that the rule is enabled and saved, and that the pause switch on the dashboard is not on. Then test at your own checkout, for example with PO Box 123 as the address.

Can I write the error message in my language?

Section titled “Can I write the error message in my language?”

Yes. Each rule has a free text message field, and exactly that text is shown at checkout, in any language you write it in. Note that the message is one fixed text: the app does not translate it per customer. PO Box detection itself is multilingual automatically.

Does the customer see which app blocked them?

Section titled “Does the customer see which app blocked them?”

No. The customer sees your error message on the relevant checkout field, the same way Shopify shows its own validation errors.

Rules run inside Shopify’s checkout infrastructure as Shopify Functions, not as external scripts, so there is no third party request in the customer’s checkout path.

Can I block everything except a few countries?

Section titled “Can I block everything except a few countries?”

The country rule is a blocklist. To sell to only a few countries, limit your shipping zones in Shopify Markets, and use the blocklist for exceptions on top of that.

Shopify removes the app’s checkout validation and customizations with it. Nothing keeps blocking after uninstall.
