FAQ

Every job shows a full preview with exact counts before anything is applied, and the apply processes exactly what the preview showed. New variants are created with 0 inventory and blank SKUs so nothing sells or collides by accident. For extra safety on big jobs, export your products to CSV first as a backup.

Yes, by construction: the preview and the apply are computed by the same code over the same product set. The counts you see (“1814 will be edited, 249 already have this configuration and will be skipped”) are the counts that run.

Why do I see more products in the app than in my storefront?

Section titled “Why do I see more products in the app than in my storefront?”

The app counts every product in scope including drafts and archived products; your storefront only shows active, published ones. Add the Status: Active filter if you only want to edit live products.

Can I edit only one specific size or color across many products?

Section titled “Can I edit only one specific size or color across many products?”

Yes. In Price mode, use “Only a specific option value”. For renames, Option Value mode targets one exact value by definition.

Roughly 15 to 20 minutes per 2,000 products. Jobs run in the background; you can close the window and come back. The record so far is 9,305 products in one weekend, in 202 jobs, with zero failures.

Does the app touch my theme or storefront code?

Section titled “Does the app touch my theme or storefront code?”

No. The app edits product data through Shopify’s official API only. It installs nothing in your theme and nothing keeps running after you uninstall.
