Rename an option name
Section titled “Rename an option name”Size to Größe, Colour to Color, Sizes to Size: pick Option Name, type the exact current name and the new one, preview, apply. Every selected product with that option name is updated.
This is the tool for unifying inconsistent naming (for example when part of the catalog uses “Size” and another part “Sizes”) and for localizing option names when expanding to a new market.
Rename an option value
Section titled “Rename an option value”Red to Crimson: pick Option Value, choose the option position, pick the exact current value, type the new one. The match is exact and case sensitive. Every variant carrying the value is updated; order and inventory are untouched, only the label changes.
- Renaming never creates or deletes variants, it only relabels
- The preview lists each affected product with the exact before and after
- If your storefront uses translations (Translate & Adapt), review them after renaming the original language
